Children, all of them, they are our future, and the protection of their health has always been a priority here at Pedevilla. 
For this reason we have launched Pedevilla Safe School, an innovative project that aims to raise awareness and educate the school staff regarding good practices to ensure the safety of children at all times. The activities of Pedevilla Safe School focus on two fronts, both of fundamental importance: 

UNBLOCKING: A LITTLE BIG HELP 
The recent cases in the news, unfortunately, remind us that episodes of choking, especially for school-age children, can easily lead to a tragedy. Knowing this, Pedevilla is committed to being the first among catering companies to introduce courses in airway unblocking and anti-suffocation. 

The training modules, intended for children, teachers and school staff, dwell in particular on the methods and techniques of pediatric unblocking, with a focus on the dangerous foods and prevention. 

DEFIBRILLATOR: WHY THE PEACE OF MIND IS THE GREATEST GOOD 
A defibrillator in every school: this is the only way to protect the health of our children in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). This disease is often overlooked, but in Italy alone it causes over 70,000 deaths every year, and the count goes as high as 400,000 for Europe in general. Therefore, Pedevilla Safe School, together with the specialists of Cardiac Science and Two Life, will supply a defibrillator device to all institutions involved in the project.

It is important to know that sudden cardiac arrest: 

•   can strike anyone, anywhere, any time. 
•   the only therapy truly effective against it is the use of defibrillator 
•   defibrillation performed within one minute of collapse increases the survival rate up to 90%. 

MASS TRAINING: INFORM AND INVOLVE 
The days devoted to "cardio-protected" schools will be supported by information campaigns across different media, and will take the form of the well-known Mass Training from Dr. Marco Squicciarini, able to inform and raise awareness among large audiences in an effective and emotionally engaging way.
